Dear Guests and Visitors,
Welcome to our picturesque corner of the Olomouc Region. The town of Štíty is part of the Zábřeh Micro-Region, a territory of pure nature that makes our town truly a "paradise of active relaxation."
Thanks to Olympic champion Aleš Valenta's Acrobat Park, tennis courts, and a multi-purpose pitch the town of Štíty is an ideal location for sports enthusiasts. For winter sports lovers the town also offers cross-country skiing trails and ski lifts.
The Štíty surrounding areas are excellent for those who enjoy wandering through beautiful nature, be it on foot or by bike. One trail leads from Sychrov Pond to nearby Horní Studénky, another to the highest spur of the Zábřeh highlands the Lázek observation tower or Březná Natural Park.
Thanks to the town's position Štíty is a sightseeing crossroads.
Mountain lovers can set out for the beauty of Kralický Sněžník. History buffs and those interested in technical monuments should not miss a visit to the Kralice fortress territory, the Handmade Paper Museum in Velké Losiny, or one of the true technical wonders of the Czech Republic – the Dlouhé Stráně pumped-storage electric plant.
You have received a listing of the very best our region has to offer. So come and enjoy some active relaxation with us we will be very pleased to have you!
Bc. Jiří Vogel
Mayor of Štíty
